App Review: Mega Jump 2, Lots Of Fun

Redford is back in an all new jumping adventures, and fans of Mega Jump are going to be delighted all the extra power-ups and a whole new cast of characters in Mega Jump 2.

Touted as one of the most addictive casual games, Mega Jump was a graphically impressive, fun, wild experience. GetGames has launched a sequel with hopes of living up to the first, and surpassing it. Although, admittedly, I didn't play Mega Jump 2 - its easy to see why this platform/physics jumping and bouncing game is one of the most popular in the App Store.

Amazing Graphics

The first thing to mention is absolutely the amazing graphics and sounds. Built specifically for iOS7, the all-new game engine offers smooth and beautiful game-play in a colorful and detailed world. Kudos to the designers on that front.

Mega Jump 2 is a fun, addictive, free iPhone game with exciting and challenging game-play. Read our Review.Addictive Adventures

Each game world offers a unique experience, but the adventures is what will get you coming back. Collecting coins, power-ups, eggs and more. Although it takes a bit of time and skill to get good at the actual game-play. You have the option to purchase upgrades and even to skip specific adventures in the Shop at the beginning of each level. There are a host of additional characters you can eventually unlock and they each offer different skills and abilities to help you get through your adventures.

Challenging Game-play

This is the only drawback for me, the game-play took a while to get used to. Everything moves so quickly that you barely have time to get your bearings before you've failed and ended the game. I wish there were a beginner or tutorial stage where the character jumps and falls slower, to get used to the gyroscopic movement. The good news is it goes get easier with time. So, my tip is: Play more!

In-App Purchases

If you don't feel like playing until you have enough coins or gems to level up - you do have the option to just buy a pack. Ranging from $1.99-$24.99, its the easy-peasy way to get all your upgrades, and extra characters strait away. Otherwise, you can just work really hard - because the in-app purchases don't offer anything you can't earn on your own with a little hard work (and a lot of time).
