New iPhone Concept from artist Joseph Farahi, as shown on the ConceptsiPhone YouTube Channel brings an entirely new set of specs to the already growing list of possible iPhone 6 options. However, this one is a major departure than the last few industry reports we've heard about, as it boasts of a crazy high-end camera set up, new ports, and most shockingly a wafer-thin form factor of only 6.1 mm!
Theory by DesignIn, what seems to me, the folly of an artist, the video (see below) gives specs for the larger 5.1 inch screen iPhone 6, as a drastically changed from the current iPhone 5s models. For one, the camera offers 10 megapixels and 4K HD Recording - a bit unrealistic given the slim case. The one implausible-yet-hopeful addition I can back is the SolarCharging - which if were possible would be outright amazing!
New PortsAnother aspect of the design that I don't think will fly is the new mini-Lightning and Mini-Aux ports. Given that Apple didn't change its 30-pin connector for nearly a decade (originally on iPods) up until it made the switch to iPhone 5's Lightening Port I doubt very highly that they will change it again so soon. Not to mention having an alternate headphone jack size - I'm sure that Apple would love to have proprietary headphone devices, but consumer-wise that is unrealistic.
In the end, I honestly don't think that the iPhone needs to be thinner. While Apple does seem to 'upgrade' their hardware in this matter, as devices get more robust, it's been absolutely acceptable to have a heftier device. And I think we would all rather being able to use our existing accessories. That being said - I do think that this design is beautiful.
