Apple Received Patent on Building Wrap Around iPhone Screen

Apple received patent on building wrap around iPhone screen. An iPhone, iPad or Apple TV with a full glass enclosure. It looks amazing!
Apple has received a patent on a new process to build electronic devices such as an iPhone with a full glass enclosure. The rumors about an iPhone with a wrap-around screen, what we have seen before can now actually be true.

The new method provides therefore according to Apple a durable and at the same time lightweight design. The patent gives us an idea of ​​how a possible future iPhone glass could be produced.

It isn't a full glass-on-glass device, but according to patent it is glass pieces together via a fusing process. For example, the image below shows a media-player with rounded edges and flexible display.

The patent number 8,773,848 has already been submitted in 2013, but was only granted to Apple this Monday. Apple's chief designer Jony Ive is one of the inventors, and is named in the patent description.
